The Aquilla Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports Aquilla ISD students, staff, and faculty by providing funding for innovative programs, teaching strategies, and initiatives that enrich educational opportunities. The foundation achieves its mission by providing grants to teachers for creative and educational programs.

Board Members

Below is a list of the individuals proudly serving as members of the AISD Education Foundation board.

Jerry Stephens

I am married to my husband Tim. We have lived in Aquilla for 13 years. I am an accountant by trade.We own two businesses in Hill County. I was inspired to join the Aquilla Education Foundation by my mother Paula Womack Gregory.

Secretary

Tarana Hester-Byrd

I joined the Aquilla ISD Family in August 2006. Being a part of this amazing district continues to be one of my life's greatest joys. All three of my sons graduated from Aquilla, one of my daughters-in-law teaches here, and my oldest grandson is a student here, as well.

Charles Perkins

Born 1946 in Elm Mott, TX, Mr. Perkins served in National Intelligence Agencies & Army National Guards. He later founded Aquilla’s first band and opened Music & Math Masters Studio. Retired and now volunteers on various local and county boards.

Trey Turner

I graduated from Aquilla ISD in 2013. It's a special place to me because it's where I spent my formative years and built a strong foundation for my future.
